Expert Colourist and Director
Sarah-Jane’s first job was as a Saturday Assistant at Bensons and now co-owns this successful and popular salon. She trained at Trevor Sorbie’s and went onto work at top London salons. Whilst at the Queen’s salon, she appeared on TVAM and participated in major London hair shows.
Sarah-Jane is a top colour technician and she has been flown all over the world to do workshops, demonstrations and shows. She has been featured in magazines and national newspapers and asked to do editorials in top magazines, such as Marie Clair.
Her client list has included Pantene (adverts), Kate Winslet, Jane Horricks, Kate Beckinsale, Melanie Griffiths, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Corrin Redgrave, Emma Chambers (for the Vicar of Dibley), Lady Archer, Lyn Franks and Tara Fitzgerald.
Before returning to Bensons in 2005, Sarah-Jane worked with Jo Hansford in the top colour salon in the country.
I feel extremely privileged to work in a career I love. I am passionate about what a difference a good colour can make to someone’s confidence and my specialism is correcting a colour disaster (not by us!)
Hair and skin are the two big concerns for women, as we never take them off – and as women tend to put themselves last, I want to bring back some glamour into their lives.
Sarah-Jane is very involved with the local Shepperton business community and charities.
Theresa started working at Bensons over 35 years ago and did her apprenticeship and training at the salon.
